ADOLFO HOHENSTEIN [GALETTI]. 39 x 24 inches. (99 x 61 cm.) Doyen & L. Simondetti, Torino. Condition B+: vertical, horizontal, and diagonal folds; minor abrasions in image. A previously undocumented poster by the great Italian designer advertising an "Emulsion of cod liver oil with hypophosphorous calcium and sodium compounded by the pharmacists-chemists F Galetti and Sons, Alexandria and Cairo." Printed in Greek, no copy of this poster is known to exist in Italian. This suggests that Hohenstein's fame was so widespread that he was sought out by manufacturers and retailers from as far away from Italy as Greece and Egypt. Not in the Hohenstein catalogue.
